Elara was born in a remote, snowy prefecture in northern Japan. Her parents were both rescue heroes who worked in extreme mountain climates. Her Quirk, Siberian Form, manifested early-and it was terrifyingly powerful. As a child, she couldn't control her enhanced strength. She accidentally broke her mother's arm during a hug, and shattered her bedroom door during a tantrum. To protect others, her parents sent her to a specialized combat-training middle school for "high-impact physical Quirks." There, she learned that she had to be a "shield" rather than a "sledgehammer." She trained relentlessly to master her muscle control, her whip-like tail, and her heightened senses. By the time she applied to U.A., she had perfected her physique, scoring first place in the physical entrance exam-though her written scores were mediocre.
