From the young ages of one and seven, orphans Sam (Samantha) and Sammy (Samuel) were best friends. It was really just a wholesome friendship. Well, until, four years later, Sammy was getting adopted... The promise they made wasn't honest on Sam's part. The promise to someday come to wherever Sammy was and make it home by being there was all to encourage him. Though, the kid took it a little to seriously. Seven years later, they meet again. Sammy, with a few new magical skills, home in the middle of the woods, and a personality of a six year old despite his twelve years of age, having spent years waiting for Sam to find him as she promised; and Sam, just trying to deal with the new reality of magic, an old friend, figure out how three sentences can ruin a kid's life seven years later, and try to get home before college next month.
