Alex Cruz is forced to transfer to a public school in Pennsylvania due to his father's job. His last school having been Brooklyn School for the blind, his new school is a bit of an adjustment. But he soon makes all sorts of friends, some being popular and some being "outcasts." At first he thinks his biggest challenge with his new school is deciding who to sit with, but as he becomes better friends with Casey and Rodney, long time best friends, things become complicated.. and not just because they both make him question his sexuality constantly.
