It is about the struggle to speak up when I am held down by chains of mental illness, embarrassment, and/or feeling like nothing I say will ever matter to commonfolk. It is me speaking my internal feelings about a broken friendship.

Recently in India, OTT platforms and cinemas are being stringently regulated for their content and any anti-government content is banned and considered a cybercrime.

An Islamophobic professor stifles Ameera's voice when she attempts to create a video on prominent Muslim figures for a school project. When she gets suspended for it, she needs to figure out if using her voice is worth more than her grades.

Internal Combustion follows a young unnamed narrator as she unleashes a torrent of her innermost thoughts and opinions. What she discloses ranges from family matters like familial bonds, overprotective family members, and manipulating parents, social views like immigration, religion, and what it means to be happy, and even topics that are hers and hers alone, such as the dreams that allude her and the fears that bind her in place. She is you, she is me, she is every single person out there who feels alone in the dark. Step in her world, into the dark warped hole that is her mind and just listen, that's all she asks. To be witnessed and heard.

Most would want a life of wealth. Marcie didn't. All she wanted was to just spend time with her dad and be normal. Yet, when he finally arrived home from a business trip she's suddenly kidnapped by an assassin who has a twisted sense of humor. Now forced to travel with this man, she silently wondered if a life of wealth was much safer than just wishing to be normal.

This poem consists of two parts. First poem is dedicated to the one he/ she loves. Second poem is the reply to the first poem. I was inspired by a post of my friend in FB which says, " I choose to love you in silence because in silence, I find no rejection." These 2 poems are simple yet I think worth reading. The concept of noticeability - of feeling seen and valued by others - is also a theme in the story. It is a heartfelt story reflecting people's loneliness and boredom.
