Rishikhola Travel | Haukuna Mata Homestay - Budget Bliss! Looking for a peaceful, offbeat getaway? Rishikhola is where the hills meet the river, and nature soothes your soul. On our latest ElomeloMonkeys trip, we stayed at the charming Haukuna Mata Homestay - and believe it or not, it cost us just 1000 per night! The room was simple but clean, with warm hospitality from the hosts. But the real star? The food! Freshly cooked local meals - rice, dal, vegetables, and chicken curry - served hot and full of flavor. It truly felt like home. Just a short walk from the homestay flows the Rishi River, its cold mountain water rushing over smooth stones. And yes - we couldn't resist taking a dip! Imagine sitting on a rock in the middle of the stream, water flowing around you, birds chirping, and pine-covered hills all around. It was pure peace. The vibe at Haukuna Mata matches its name - totally chill. No noise, no crowd - just the sound of the river and the wind through the trees. This trip reminded us: you don't need luxury to enjoy nature - just the right place and good company. If you're into budget travel and want something raw and refreshing, Rishikhola should be on your list. Haukuna Mata Homestay gave us way more than we expected - peace, great food, and a dip in a crystal-clear river!
