The sun hid behind a gray cloud, darkening the sky. Shadows loomed around every corner, peering out at fearful passersby. Thunder rumbled, filling the damp air with its sound. Rain poured and muddy gutters swallowed it down. Most others would be sheltering under colorful, striped, umbrellas, but not me. My mind was in shock, not comprehending those life-changing words. The words that changed my life forever. "I'm sorry, Cecelia, but I'm afraid you are going to go blind," the doctor had told me. I had just stared at him, hoping that he was playing a joke. When Cecelia, an aspiring artist, gets told that she will become blind, her entire world changes forever. Follow her on her journey of depression in this award-winning short story. 1st Place Winner in The Creative Awards

This poem I'm relating to the part of life where you think nothing else can go wrong and it does. Then you look back in the past and realize that you've been hitting these rocks for a long time, and you feel that if you hit one more, you won't be able to take it anymore.

This book is the description of love and heartbreak . Because isn't it obvious ? Love isn't eternal and is rarely real . Why do the people without humanity expect the most love ? While the people who have the deepest and widest hearts don't even expect a dose . What drives the dearest hearts to suicide and the shallowest to satisfaction? My darlings ; it's love . And love is a crazy thing .

Life. Webster's defines it as "the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body." But what if on the inside your dead? What if living on a day to day basis killed you? My Life In Rhyme is a series of poems, each one about something that has either killed me, or brought me back to life.
