Simonette Stories

Simon and Jeanette have returned home after their traumatic experience on the island. After the concert, Alvin, somewhat bluntly but curiously, asks them if they will continue dating, or if what happened on the island was just a temporary fantasy. This seemingly innocent question sets in motion a series of thoughts and feelings in both of them.

Simon takes Jeanette out on her first date to a very special place, as the two of them are having a nice evening together, something terrible happens.

Alvin and Brittany have never been ones for a plan. But when a very unplanned family forms between the two, the pressure of staying together for their daughter grows by the day. Their relationship has good days, bad days, and downright ugly days, and they don't know how to fix it or even if it is possible to fix it. Can the shared love of their child continue to be the band-aid when their love for each other truly needs stitches? "Her phone buzzed in her pocket. She knew who it was from, and she knew she didn't want to read what the message said. But she reached into her pocket and lifted it in front of her face. The text message read: 'please don't do this baby...' Brittany's hand trembled as the nausea grew in her stomach. She wanted to cry, torn apart about what she was about to go through with. The chipette slid the cellphone back into her pocket."

In order to find themselves on the other side of this ordeal with their lives, they will need to tap into every ounce of brains, brawn, and hope that they can conjure. "Wanting to cry, wanting all of this to just be over, I sighed a heavy breath of defeat, sat down, rested my back against the red stone wall next to me, and waited for inevitability."

Simon and Jeanette had been married for almost 3 years now, yet for the last two years, they only got to see each other for less than 3 hours a day because of their overbearing jobs.
