Penelope has to return some books to the local library. Simon tags along with her and he meets Basil, who is a "jerk" (Simon's words) librarian. Of course Simon complains non-sotp and Penelope, Shepard and Agatha make a plan to get Simon and Baz together.... These are Rainbow Rowell's characters!!

What if Simon was aware of his feelings for Baz? What if Penny knew too? This is the setup as the story unfolds. Except this time, it's not the Humdrum they're facing. The gang has managed to get themselves into something much worse. With no clue where to go and no idea what they're about to find, they set off from Watford in the middle of the night in hopes of saving the World of Mages from a thing with impossible powers. Will they succeed, and what will happen on their journey there? Read to find out! This story falls under the categories of fanfiction, canon (I think), action, adventure, fantasy, and probably a few more. Hey, if you didn't get the little thing I did in the title, I'll explain. In the parentheses, I wrote AU Au, the first of which means alternate universe, and the second of which stands for gold on the Periodic Table. So... it's alternate universe gold. Ha. Ha. Funny? I hope so. Warning, there's loads of swearing in this. You've been warned.

The only thing that I liked more about Cath (from Fangirl)'s version of Carry On was the relationship between Penny and Baz. So, of course, I decided to write my own fic where their relationship takes center stage. Also: I've read a few stories in which Baz wears makeup. All of those stories have been my favorites (for obvious reasons). Therefore, this fic will feature Baz in makeup (yay!). Most of this is fluff and awkward sexual tension, I apologize in advance. Based off Rainbow Rowell's novel Carry On :)) My own interpretation of Simon Snow's first year at Watford School of Magicks. (I do not own any of these characters; only borrowing them.)

It's been a year since Simon and Baz broke up: a year of Simon Snow having to see pictures of Baz and Agatha in the papers as the happy power couple, a year of Baz Pitch being terribly miserable. Now, a year later, fate brings the two together again. In light of everything that happened between them, Simon has to see if he can balance his past and his future and, more importantly, if he can forgive Baz for everything he said that fateful evening. His new living space was a beautiful flat right in the middle of Birmingham. The only downside of the move is his new roommate Baz, who just happens to be Simon's old school rival. Simon hates Baz with all of the bones is his body, while Baz is just going along with the hatered to hide his true feelings. Living together provides tons of challenges for the boys, but it also brings a relationship that is yet to bloom.

What if Simon and Baz hadn't shared a room in 8th year? Would Simon have realized his feelings for Baz? Trash writing.

Simon Snow almost kills his roommate Baz by accident and by doing so discovers that Baz has been lying to him about his true identity for as long as they've known each other. The accident causes some memory loss for Baz and he's left asking questions to Simon about what happened at the end of last year. Simons not overly eager to share the embarrassing story of how Baz stole his prom date so instead he starts making up some lies of his own.
