Hi there! The word NEPENTHE means anything that induces forgetfulness of sorrow or pain. I, for one, believe that little things like smiles, my mother's comfort food and long walks are the best forms of nepenthe around. These poems celebrate the simple pleasures of life and how even in the darkest of times, you will find something to be grateful for. Hope you'll love it!!

Makennah Rhett: popular, rich, has the quarterback as her boyfriend, and most everybody worships the ground she walks on. Her life sounds perfect, she seems perfect. Wrong. Makennah Rhett bought a pink book at an art festival, and decided to start making "the list", a list of all the people who had ever done her wrong. She decided that she was going to get revenge on everybody on that list, including Winter Mendes. Winter Mendes: a girl that didn't have one mean bone in her body, she's shy, and she hardly has any friends. So when Makennah started making her life miserable, all she wanted to know was why had she picked her to be the victim. Then one day in the bathroom, Winter finds this pretty pink book, with a list of names and descriptions. And her name is in there. She doesn't turn it in to the office though, she and her best friend Wren investigate every person in the book, and try to discover who even created it in the first place.

"The true pleasures of the world" describe a form of happiness, fulfillment, or joy that is deep and sincere-something a person can truly feel in their lifetime. It is not merely about temporary or material pleasures, but rather the joy that comes from meaningful things, such as love, inner peace, time spent with loved ones, achieving life goals, or living with gratitude and mindfulness.

A short piece written in 2013 for my high school assignment. The task was essentially write some Othello fanfiction about what happened before the events of Othello took place. I had originally uploaded it onto deviantART but since I don't really use it any more, thought I would add it here haha.
