Rachel Matthews is a 21-year old former US Army soldier who is now being chosen by the Earth Lantern Ring and became the First Earth Lantern and the first female Earth Lantern. Her story took place in the events of Green Lantern's war affairs with Sinestro and the Yellow Lanterns.
