Elira spent her entire first life stuck in a hospital bed. She was born sickly, stayed sickly, and basically lived on "fragile mode" from day one. Her parents were poor but tried everything they could - extra work, borrowed money, desperate hope - but nothing ever changed. One day, her body simply sighed, "I'm done," and her story ended quietly.
Or so she thought.
Instead of the afterlife, Elira wakes up in Aravelle, a magical kingdom where people sparkle for absolutely no reason and danger casually strolls around like it pays rent. For the first time ever, she can stand, walk, run, and cause trouble at full speed - and she wastes exactly zero seconds before doing so.
She has no special destiny, no royal blood, and no magical blessing.
What she does have is a second life, working legs, and the chaotic enthusiasm of someone who has never been allowed outside before. Aravelle is not prepared. Truly, no one is.
Elira tries to blend in, but somehow she keeps scaring bullies, confusing handsome strangers, and accidentally acting like she owns the place.
Romance tries to happen, but Elira has the emotional awareness of a brick.
Someone flirts? She assumes they're mocking her.
Someone stares at her lovingly? She wonders if they're hungry or lost.
Someone tries to confess? she thinks they have anxiety
Narrating this entire disaster is Rei, who insists he's essential, brilliant, and tragically underappreciated.
"I am essential. Please acknowledge my greatness." - Rei
Elira survived death.
Aravelle might not survive her.
