I understand that this might not be the most uplifting book, but dark emotions should be acknowledged and expressed too - expressing them helps people face them more positively. Gray and muggy, lurking with drug dealers and shot up sidewalks-this town is home to teenagers with a range of reputations to carry. Gail Vixent: A 15 year old girl entering her sophomore year of high school; followed by a deep history of drugs, drinking, violence, and sneaking out of the house to further distance herself from the worlds in which she was raised in. Her home life is a hellhole, as she desperately tries to escape parents who haven't been the greatest model for affection and empathy.
