Fourteen-year-old Maiya is completely over her boring summer break. While everyone else is out making memories, her days consist of staring at her bedroom walls and trying to survive a massive pile of summer reading books. But when her outgoing cousin Amber drags her to Six Flags on a random Saturday, Maiya steps out of her quiet comfort zone and into a world of massive crowds, sticky heat, and terrifying roller coasters. She expects to spend the day counting down the minutes until she can go home, until she meets Aiden. Aiden is just as smiley and out-of-place in the loud amusement park as she is. When an accidental line jump forces them into the same row on the biggest coaster in the park, they realize they have way more in common than just a fear of heights. In a park full of hundreds of screaming people, two similar souls might just find exactly what they were looking for.
