I'm Kalliope Aoidós, a Book Jumper, and thanks to my family's spectacularly inconvenient curse, I've once again found myself trapped in an adventure. The odds of dying a horrible death? I love the drama but we need one or two adjustments. Let's try again. In a time of the Cauldron and the Mother, of High Lords ruling their courts, deadly bargains, and the King of Hybern brooding over conquest and destruction, the fae people cried out for a hero to spare them from slaughter and an absolutely catastrophic plotline. At last, there came Kalliope, the mighty Book Jumper, forged in the heat of stories and questionable narrative decisions. Power struggles, reckless passions, political schemes, betrayals, ancient secrets, suspiciously attractive enemies, and enough emotional damage to keep therapists employed for centuries, all would be met with relentless sarcasm by the one woman who alone had the power to change the world. Good morning, I'm Kalliope Aoidós (yes, spelled like this: Καλλιόπη Ἀοιδός... pretty impressive, right?), Technical Account Manager at a company in... well, I'm sure you don't really need my CV for this. Let's try again. Hey, I'm Kalliope Aoidós, and I've got a little problem. Okay, more like an incurable, family-heritage problem. Technically, it's genetic-something my family has been conveniently passing down for centuries. One of my great-great-great-great-grandparents thought it was totally appropriate to insult his muse, calling her a "good-for-nothing" and a "sellout." How charming, right? Too bad that muse was THE Muse after whom I'm named. Apparently, she's not exactly the warm and fuzzy type. So why on earth do I have the honor of carrying the name of the one who cursed my entire family tree? Oh, that was my grandmother's brilliant idea. In a way, they "sacrificed" me to her by giving me her name, hoping it would change her mind about the curse. Spoiler alert: It didn't. So here I am, just like hundreds of my ancestors, stuck in the same lovely swamp. I'm a Book Jumper or, as my grandmother (who has a flair for dramatic epithets) likes to call me, a βιβλιοποδητής, which basically means "walker of books." And these are my stories. The first time Oriana met Azriel, she thought that he reminded her of a skittish cat. Shy and a little bit broken. Good for him that she absolutely excelled in fixing the things around her.

AN: This was hasty and spontaneous so I haven't really checked it for grammar or spelling, I wrote it in 20 minutes and wanted to share it! Tog and acotar crossover. Set at the end of empire of storms, during acowar. Excerpt; " Embers began to trail around her, she closed her eyes centering herself. A pillar of flame shot up, a pure white flame, around her body lifted off the ground as if weightless, her hair lifting around her head. When she opened her eyes, and the hottest flame, displaying beautiful golds and a brilliant bright blue, shot out towards the 5000 things. My shield of darkness recoiled at the heat of the flame, the power she was displaying, she may be as powerful as me or even possibly more. She looked completely calm, not showing any strain to the power she is displaying. The thing let out shrieks as the fire hit them. Something was different about the flame she is wielding though, it's not like beron's at all, beron's fire looked ugly almost. The flame Aelin used looked almost liquid light, in an array of colours. As she neared the last 100, I saw her face had gone a shade paler. I realised then, she hadn't eaten enough nutrients to sustain the power she was using, but still that flame was pouring out of her. As she got to the last few, she looked like she was struggling, but then I could tell what from, her power wanted out, but she wasn't going to give it to it. Rhysand x Lucien story written after the events that took place in ACOTAR (first book). I'd written this directly after reading the frist book so I didn't know -at the time- what the night court looked like. This was my best guess. Enjoy!
