The hag taking Peter and Edmund's blood was obviously going to lead to something, although no one could've expected this. Peter is worried sick when things start happening to Edmund, but all Edmund is worried about is what's going to happen to his older brother. Nothing happens to Peter at first... but too soon, they find out why.

It has been one miserable year for the Pevensie siblings and Matilda Knight back in England, while it has been 1288 years of the Dark Age in Narnia.
