Cause and effect experience and the bit of patience Ink did have earned him a friend with very minimal benefits kind of deal. He'd never had a relationship like this before, so let's just say he's eager to advance further. Of course he can't FEEL it deep down, but as long as he was content and Error was too content, there should be no problem....right?
