Thirty years after espers first appeared, society has reshaped itself around supernatural power. Hydrangea Academy, run by the Esper Association and backed by the government, exists to cultivate the next generation of elite Espers. With state-of-the-art facilities, generous freedom, and limitless resources, it is widely regarded as the ideal school for those chosen to enroll. Within the Academy, students are divided into six classes, ranked from A to F. Class A receives every privilege, while Class F sits at the bottom, overlooked and quietly written off. Yet the hierarchy is not absolute. Through special exams, combat exercises, and large-scale practical trials, lower classes are allowed to challenge higher ones and take their place... by any means the school permits. Lucien Ambrose, a laid-back and unassuming D-rank esper with a strange ability that changes daily, is assigned to Class F. There, he finds himself surrounded not by prodigies, but by the Academy's so-called failures: students whose powers are too weak, too strange, or too absurd to be taken seriously. Among them are Annette, a bookish, sharp-eyed girl whose ability allows her to instantly calculate anything she sees, and Clara, the cheerful class idol who can play instruments without instruments. There is a murderer out there... killing only other murderers. Officer and Ariese are always one step behind the murderer as he skillfully takes down his target one by one. This is a controversy in his actions, however, that make half the city believe he is a criminal, while the other half believes him to be a hero. The murderer only kills right before his target will kill, making him a savior to dozens of hostages and pursued victims. Will Officer Leroy and Ariese take down the killer before the riots stirring in the city became violent, or will the killer get away with his crime?

Niu Bi got a magical ring. It has a world similar to an online game. Every time a monster is killed, corresponding coins or items will be dropped. What's more magical is that these spoils can be used in the real world. From the lowest-level goat horns and rubbish whiteboard equipment to the awesome super artifacts and priceless super magic crystals, as long as you have the ability, you can get them. From then on, Niu Bi became awesome.
