They are described as yee naaldlooshii, which translates to "by means of it, it goes on all fours," Multiple people have had encounters with Skin-walkers, they have caught them on camera and uploaded to the internet. People have the belief that calling them by the term "Skin-walkers" is bad luck, and is a way of luring them. People refer to them as "Mimics" as a way to avoid saying "Skin-Walkers".
