Arella is sixteen on the outside, but a much different type of girl then she lets on underneath. When her Mom leaves when she is only nine years old her family was torn apart. With a dad who is constantly working and an autistic baby brother she had to step up to the plate to hold them together, and that has taken it's toll. Arella wanted escape. Arella wanted freedom. All she wanted was happiness, just for a little while. So she turned to the demon. Alcohol. And when things spun out of control she just went along with them. Now she is sixteen and smokes every day, has a sweet tooth for anything that will put her under and a bad habit of befriending people that get her into even deeper trouble. And with her bad influence of a best friend by her side there is no going back now. She's a screw up, and she knows. So when the strange boy who moves in across the street suddenly takes a fascination to her, why is it that she doesn't need the demon so much anymore? Why is it that the empty space which always seems to be inside her feels different now, like it isn't so painful anymore? Maybe this boy is just what she needs, or maybe he'll be her ultimate downfall. After all, she already had her heart broken once, and she isn't prepared for it to happen ever again. She knows the rules. She knows how to survive. She grew up fast. She's no child, she's an older girl.

There are events in life that are inevitable and occur for a reason. Two strangers soon become aware of this when they find their lives flipped around and become stuck in unlikely predicaments they've never faced before. Both of them, having given up on everything, feel as if they've reached the end despite only being teenagers. It isn't until they meet each other that, although their problems somehow end up worsening, they come to learn that some things in life really do happen only once.

She's going to face challenges and hardships, things she never expected or wanted. Enter Tony Thorn. The resident 'emo' kid of Rose's new school, the two find themselves becoming as close as imaginable. Tony is utterly confused at the rapid pace at which he finds himself caring for her but once he overcomes his fear and takes her to 'meet the family' things start to spin out of control. The two have to work together to figure out who is baiting them and why they are the ones being targeted. Rose has to learn to trust herself and Tony because when worse comes to worst, being alone is never the answer.

Rosaline is heartbroken when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her. Her best friend, whom she met online and has never met in person, is Vincent. When Rosaline casts Alec out of her life, Vincent takes his place. Note: There's a Vincent's Story too. Part way through both stories I merged it to switch between both of their sides. "You're just a big loud mouth that has no idea what you're saying!" He yells in my face. "And you're just a walking bad of aids and std" I yell back. He takes a step closer I back up and run into the lockers he pins me down. "You're hott when you're mad." He winks, he leans in his lips getting closer before I know it our lips meet and..... Willow Foster was what you would call and average girl, but she has one problem..... She can't control her mouth.
