Because why not, y'know? Also, kind of obvious but there are spoilers in this book. Just thought I should point that out in case no one would realise. I own none of these either.

Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain are PERFECT for each other but they just won't admit it. So Tanith and the Dead Men are going to cause some havoc... >:3 A little bit. **WARNING THIS STORY AND DESCRIPTION WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS OF DEATH BRINGER AND OTHER MORE RESENT BOOKS** Valkyrie froze. She wanted her Skulduggery back, she wanted the friend that she knew. But, she couldn't, she wouldn't deprive him of his life. Sure Skulduggery always said that the life of when he was living was behind him and Skulduggery never gave any indication that he wanted to have his flesh again. Skulduggery always said that he wasn't worthy. But this Skulduggery, he hadn't committed any crimes as Lord Vile. Valkyrie clenched her fists. She had no right to change Skulduggery back for her own purposes.

Skulduggery and Valkyrie go monster hunting in the sewers of Dublin, but things get complicated when Valkyrie falls mysteriously ill. Notes: This work was inspired by the BTVS episode of the same name, though you won't see any similarities until a few chapters in. It's set between Kingdom of the Wicked and Last Stand of Dead Men (and after the events of The Maleficent Seven). Content Warning: Story contains some moderate fantasy violence, ableist language, inaccurate portrayals of mental illness, body horror and references to medical procedures.

When Valkyrie admits her feelings to Skulduggery he freezes because he cannot believe anyone would say that to him, he doesn't believe he is worth it. When he "wakes up" he realises that Valkyrie has ran away, she avoids his calls and everything that reminds her of him. He overhears Tanith mention that she has been calling her and "interrogates" her. She tells him that Valkyrie has been calling her for news. He gets to her in time to save her from something and they live happily ever after... Maybe...
