skylinesxstars
poetry i've written in leather bound notebooks under the starlight in the quietest hour .
as the city that never sleeps darkens, and the skyline lights up with warm lights, and the subways continue to rattle on beneath the streets, and the crowds on the streets dwindle down to a few travelers hurrying home after the night shift, I sit at the window. just something about looking out on such a giant city, with so many different families and lives, inspires me to write. in the end, I'm only one person out of the millions that are all moving around like clockwork, or are sleeping in their beds under the same stars as I am sitting under, bathed in moonlight. so, i write.
with that, i've compiled the poems that i've written, and will continue to write, while sitting there on that window ledge. i hope you enjoy, and please note, i'm not an experienced writer or poet, i'm hardly a beginner, but any opinions or criticism are very welcome.
thanks for reading my book, enjoy :)
