Slantrhyme Stories

Not a story, but a poem inspired by a number of events occurring on and around July 4th, 2017 ranging from a friend's suicide, another friend's suicide attempt on the same day, and the looming threat of the AHCA's passing. This poem utilizes short lines and rhyme/slant rhyme with imagery to evoke not only a troubled character, but a scene indicative of the current state of the nation's mentally ill and the for-profit nature of many medical practitioners and healthcare organizations. Each part has a meaning. My thoughts have grown and continue to with each new topic that penetrates my brain. I am just posting to share the poetry that takes on more mature aspects than my last story. Enjoy.

Dear potential reader, The cause is self expression. Humans haven't even come up with words that describe what it means to be human. Prose scratches the surface and poetry goes a little deeper than that. From love, to hate, to happiness, to injustice and everything in between, these are clauses I've put together to express it.
