Genre: 80s Summer Camp Slasher / Teen Thriller
It's June 1989, and Camp Alder Lake is reopening after nearly a decade of silence.
Eight teenage counselors arrive expecting sunburns, lake swims, late-night bonfires, and freedom from their regular lives. The camp feels nostalgic-wooden cabins, flickering radios, faded STAFF shirts, and a dock stretching over dark water that reflects more than just the sky. It's the kind of place that feels frozen in time.
But not everything at Alder Lake was meant to be reopened.
There are whispers about Cabin Nine. A trail that isn't on any map. A summer that ended abruptly years ago. At first, it's just campfire storytelling-something to make the night air feel cooler and the woods feel deeper.
Then the footsteps start.
Strange marks appear where there shouldn't be any. Shapes move between trees. The counselors begin to realize they might not be alone-and whatever is watching them knows the camp better than they do.
As the nights grow longer and trust between friends starts to fracture, the line between urban legend and reality disappears. The lake grows quieter. The woods grow closer. And Camp Alder Lake begins to feel less like a summer job... and more like a trap.
