A chilly air breeze brushes through the mountainous terrain and towering pine trees that overlook the small road that passes through. In the clearing, the snow that adorns the mountains with white looms an ominous large brown lodge. Otherwise known as The Overlook Hotel. The winter of 1970 would be one incident out of hundreds since the opening of the hotel in 1908. . . . . . . Please note this story is an adaptation of the Grady's stay at the Overlook Hotel. I will try to be as accurate to the original events as possible but not everything may be exactly correct from the original book.

Y/n was visiting the countryside of England hoping for a fun holiday. Everything was going perfectly until y/n hits a deer, causing a nearly fatal crash. Y/n's belongings and possessions all get burned in the wreckage of the crash. In a concussed daze they venture for a place to rest, knowing no one wouldn't drive down that road for at least a week. Y/n finds a seemingly abandoned estate and wanders inside to save themselves from the elements. Events of this story take place 2 years after the ending of The Boy (2016), Brahms lived after Greta's attack and continued to live in the estate. The events of Brahms: The Boy II (2020) have no relevance to this specific plot and the events that happened during the movie hold no weight to this story. (cover made by me)

It's the Summer! You just graduated from high school and you're completely thrilled to move into your own house. Your foster family had helped you through your adolescence and now you had grown up, ready to take on this world! You move to Haddonfield Illinois, in the Myers home. You heard of the 'rumors' of this house, but you had little evidence to even believe them. Yet. ----- Hello! This is my first story, and it has a HUGE inspiration from another Michael Myers x Reader story called, "Unwelcomed." It's a very good read, I do recommend. There will be a few references from the story here and there, but I take no credit to it. Anyways! The reader is gender neutral and I will use They/Them pronouns for the story. I know how hard it could be to find these types of stories and I want to make this story as inclusive, but not pushy, as possible. We need more of those. If there is any incorrect spelling that sets off your pet peeves, please inform me in whichever paragraph it is in! I love writing stories, but I will apologize before hand if I do not update super frequently, I will try to make a schedule though! Hopefully I will update every Saturday! Have a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy this story. :)
