Amber lived in a world like no other, one created from the stories of legends and built on the basis of magic and a community of creatures that might come across as monsters in stories to children. In an instant, everything Amber knew toppled upside down. She is thrust into a world with little heart and caged between stone and iron. Slavery takes her to new places, but her heart throbs for home and Derek. A witch is a dangerous creature when taken against her will and humans are just about to find out what happens when they take one from its home. While leading her way through a series of troubles, magic spins secrets and friends become enemies. Between slave camps, carnivals, and mazes built for killing, Amber starts to doubt whether she will ever see home again.
