There are many nuances in Dog Culture and even more amongst Sleddogs. Let me explain how Dog society works as we listen to a sleddog team's conversation around the campfire. Join the old dog, Lead Dog, Boy, Nero, Mellow and Fox as they explore what's in a name, what it means to have your own human and the history of Balto and Togo.

This is a poem I made for a 6th grade project in ELA class at school. It's about the Iditarod race, a dog-sled race that takes place in Alaska during early March every year.

Brinna and Marley have a difficult journey ahead. They must brave the 200 kilometre trek by dogsled to finally say goodbye to their father. The vast terrain holds many dangers for dogs and mushers. Have they been taught well enough to endure the unexpected?

As: Mars, Mapel, Ace, Spring, Robbin. All try to survive through the horrid challenges life has in stock for them. they find themselves in a sticky situation... lost, alone, winters already right around the corner what must they do? find the way back home? try to find their musher ? Read to figure out! (If anyone from the team is reading its a fiction story! its not based on true past life experiences! I Also switched around roles. example: if you were Mars mom you might be her sister!)

This is the continuation of wolf castle...but it may make sense without reading it.

Join Danny and his friends as they have many misadventures in a southwestern Pennsylvania steel town during the late 1950s and early 60s. The story has many memorable and odd characters. It was a much simpler time; there were no cell phones, computers, or video games. People still gathered around the radio to listen to 'Superman' and 'Fibber Magee and Molly'. If they were lucky enough to have a TV, it was black and white and all kitchen appliances were white. There was no Internet. The closest thing to Amazon was the Sears Catalog, where you could order anything from a toy train to a Craftsman House. Sputnik, Echo, and who knows what were circling the earth. The local dump provided everything kids needed to keep them occupied. There were areas in town that still had outhouses. They were poor but didn't know it. Kids could roam the neighborhood without any worries. Their parents would tell them "Come home when the streetlights come on." If you are looking for a book like 'War and Peace' or 'Moby Dick', then look somewhere else. This book is more like Jean Shepherd's 'A Christmas Story'; if it were a movie it would be rated 'G' for general audiences. Whether you are 12 or 112, I am sure you are going to enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Winter just isn't her season. Sydney prefers summer and sunshine. She likes it when school is closed and the pool is open. She enjoys ice cream not ice storms and prefers swimsuits over sweaters. In her opinion, summer trumps winter any day of the year.
