It's May of 2017 and Agent Jack Bauer is thrust into action again when a threat emerges from the cradle of civilization, the Middle East. But the reestablished CTU can't do it alone. Working with a secretive NSA Black Ops unit known as Fourth Echelon to combat the terrorists, the lines become ever blurrier in the ongoing War on Terror. Takes place between season 7 and season 8
