This book is what I think should have happened and should happen In season six and so on. So in the story Elena has just been put under a sleeping spell linked to Bonnie's (her best friend) life and Damon (Elena's boyfriend) has a deep spiral into a depression and heartbreak. No one know what to do to help. On top of that Damon can't help but want the pain to go away with only 2 ways of doing so, 1.) kill Bonnie (his best friend;Elena's best friend) so Elena can't wake up or 2.) flip his switch.
