Samuel visited that wide open field every year on his wedding anniversary, and every year his wife Anita would be there. He just wished they had more time. "He peeked into it and raised his eyebrows at the crumbs that littered her usually immaculately clean interior. A booster seat was the obvious source of the crumbs, wrappers directly under where it sat on the leather seat, and Samuel looked away from the car toward the distant tree. Beneath it were two figures; one an adult woman, the other a young child."
