Jordyn was young. Too young to live the life she lives.
She flipped the card in her fingers, twirling it absentmindedly as she steadied her gaze on the woman hovering over her. The scent of metal was thick. She was beginning to feel as though she'd never be released, though she told this irritable woman and countless other foolish men and women that what she had revealed to them was all she knew. That was not the case, of course, but persistence is truly key in these sorts of situations. The more you believe your lies, the the more lying you can get away with.
And what a lie this was to believe.
