This is my highly stylized, fictionalized, specialized version of the petty beef between Marshall Mathers, aka Slim Shady aka Eminem and Colson Baker, aka Machine Gun Kelly aka Kells. You don't have to be familiar with that backstory to enjoy this little tale. It was partially inspired by one of the few country songs I really like, entitled "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." I stood outside on the high balcony, my eyes sweeping over the bright city. High buildings illuminated the black sky, and I could hear the rumbling of the streets from eighteen stories high. A warm breeze wisped my hair from behind my ear and sent it floating in front of my face. I didn't bother to move it back into place. My hands, trembling as they were, still had a solid grip on the neck of my bottle. I was starting to feel something warm tingle in my stomach and relax my limbs. It was easing the hazy mess my mind was it, replacing it with the blissful emotions that I can only feel when I'm drunk. I took a swig of the bitter tasting liquor and managed to hold back the cringe that wanted to scrunch up my face. I learned how to hide the disgust that vodka gave me with years of practice, but that doesn't mean the feeling stopped coming. I hated drinking--I hated that it was the only thing that I did. The glass sliding door was pushed open. I didn't bother turning around; I knew who it was, and I wasn't in the mood to look at him. The door slid shut. I heard him clear his throat. "Nice night, huh?"

Anna Brook was a normal(-ish) teenager until her 2° year in highschool. That year changed her a bit. maybe because of new people that walked into her life or maybe because of some stories from her past. All she knows is that she won't be the same from now on.

Adelaide Matthews grew up in Detroit, Michigan. But so did Marshall Mathers III. They have a lot of fun together and eventually meet "Proof" Deshaun Holton. When her Dad forbids her from hanging out with them she still does it anyway. Shes very rebellious. When Marshall finally makes it as a rapper, they don't see each other as much, but they still talk every day. He eventually breaks up with his long-time girlfriend Kim. Marshall & Tiffani have known each other since before fame. She's a popular singer with a strong sweet voice and a kind heart. He's the rough-around-the-edges rapper everyone loves to hate or love intensely. They balance each other out perfectly - his darkness to her lightness. They support each other's careers - he writes songs for her albums, she attends his concerts and stands up for him in interviews when the press gets too harsh. They're each other's best friends, well for Marshall she is other than Proof of course. They always secretly would be on the low, fucking sometimes. But it was okay. Because they were best friends. But one day..

But the problem is, she has to share a room with a 'very familiar' face. Slowly, they become great friends. They want to have a steady, but slow relationship, but then Max finds out this man's darkest secret.

The successful life of Marshall Mathers is being told in a documentary format. There are even inclusive interviews from Eminem and his ex-wife, Kimberly Scott, and on and off fling, Alana Grey.
