Wszystko zmienia się, gdy na uniwersytet wraca William Owem - student, o którym słyszał każdy. Inteligenty, przystojny i pochodzący z wpływowej rodziny. Od pierwszego spotkania wydaje się Sabrinie dokładnie takim człowiekiem, którego powinna unikać. Los ma jednak inne plany. Kiedy zostają zmuszeni zamieszkać w jednym domu, a ich codzienność zaczyna nieustannie się przeplatać, między Sabriną a Williamem rodzi się więź, której żadne z nich się nie spodziewało. Z każdym dniem coraz trudniej ignorować uczucia, które same pojawiają się tam, gdzie miała być jedynie niechęć. Ale Sabrina skrywa sekret, który może zniszczyć wszystko. Sekret, który łączy ich w sposób, jakiego William nie jest świadomy. Gdy dawne rany zaczynają się otwierać, a prawda wyjdzie na światło dzienne, oboje będą musieli zmierzyć się z pytaniem, czy można kochać kogoś, gdy jego nazwisko przypomina o najgorszym koszmarze twojego życia. Bo niektóre grzechy nigdy nie zostają zapomniane. A niektóre prawdy mogą zniszczyć nawet największą miłość.
