They have to face strange new creatures and harsher conditions than their own home. No one's here to guide them and protect them. They may never make it out but they can try and hope. Hope may even fade away into nothingness in this harsh landscape.

A short story about a small Slugcat who must travel to Five Pebbles to find a way to escape its fate.

Snowy was a regular old slugcat with fur like dissipating colours, those colours being a pastel pink and pastel blue. Her past is like a blur. She doesn't really remember any of it ever since she met Abbey. Abbey was a Scientist and a mechanic who was looking for subjects that would be willing to have weapons tested on them. Snowy was the first to be tested on and things happened. She was tested on again and again, but suddenly one day, she was different. She didn't respond to anyone, it's as if she was dead. So, she was just left alone, starved as she didnt eat. A week goes by of this behaviour and then suddenly, she's just alright again. but she was acting off, insisting abbey to test the last object on her which changed her for the worse. The object, being a bomb, was thrown in with her. It had exploded causing her body to shift and change. She was consumed by the void. She was fine for a few weeks but the void was messing with her brain. Suddenly she just turned. She started fucking everything up for Abbey, killing assistants and threatening Abbeys life. She figured out that Abbey could create interdimensional portals, so she requested that a portal be opened so she could have her own world. Abbey, hesitant, said "I can do that...but don't do anything stupid. If you do, I will be there to stop you." Snowy/The Ascendant Laughed and left.

A fanfiction of Rain World, a game by Video Cult. It's funny how nature adapts even when the world has tilted to its limit. It will hopefully be finished soon.] The Labyrinthine: a little rodent created from scavengers and slugcats to achieve a goal that would give it nothing in return. The Iterators: A hundred different pantheons of all kinds of gods: malicious, benevolent, all still chaotic to their metal cores. Mere existence in this rain-cursed world is a game of life, death, and ascension... but the way things are headed, the random gods may not be set to win this round after all.
