Harry Potter runs into Narcissa Malfoy before Hogwarts first year. With Draco and fellow Slytherins as his new family, just how different will Harry be? Unfortunately, the boys (Harry and Draco) are discriminatory toward "lesser wizards" (they use the term mudblood, etc.). This may be remedied, as I personally prefer a simple anti-muggle mindset (so as to avoid war and fear between the worlds) over a wizard-race-war mindset. But we shall see! The fic I am looking for is with Harry's first year. he is sorted into Slytherin. I only remember 1 chapter. the Chapter was called I think "Troll in the Dungeons" its Halloween and Harry choose to have dinner alone in the Slytherin Common Room. he is sitting by the fire reading a book or looking at pictures of his parents. when Snape's silver doe spell comes in and tells Harry to stay in the common room. The troll starts attacking the Slytherin Common Room door, the troll breaks in and attacks Harry. Harry is able to use magic to make a shield around himself. Snape comes in and kills the troll with the other teachers. thats all I remember PLEASE HELP!!!!

I caught the Boy-Who-Lived twice by now by the shoulders, my forehead against his. "You have to go back!" I told him. "Everything is falling apart around us. Tom was never the bad guy! I can't believe we all followed Dumbledore so blindly... "Go back and do what?" the famous boy asked me, grabbing at my arms as the world started spinning out of the control around us. It didn't matter, I left a fail-safe with him, and at least one of those things should reach either or both of us in the past, offering us a chance to do it all over again. the right way this time. There wasn't anything I could do anymore, anyway. With Potter I had sent my magic, it being imprinted of all the memories, all the future I didn't wish for anyone. I took a deep breath, looking around one last time. After the war, things had started going so well. But the chaos and destruction in front of me showed me how wrong we were to believe blindly all we were told. Perhaps he wouldn't even have to side, after all. He was the Boy-Who-Lived, and for that many would follow him to the End of the World, thought that was exactly what we aimed to avoid. Yes, Tom's methods were perhaps too harsh in getting where we has to go, and that had pushed most to blindly side with the Light regardless of their magical affinities sometimes even. But Harry held the power to change everything. I had to believe it. But for me, for this world, this timeline, nothing could be done. I would never know the new timeline, the ripples and effects, if this was all in vain. Perhaps, if things hadn't been so bad here, my other self would have found a way to communicate with me through my magic and I would've known. None of us would live to find out.
