A slow-burn contemporary romance about found moments, found people, and discovering that the best chapters in life are often the ones we never intended to write. Some people collect things. Sam Reyes collects places. She'll take the longer road, strike up conversations with strangers, wander into tiny museums no one has heard of, and board trains with no itinerary beyond curiosity. After leaving Santa Fe for a fresh start in Richmond, Virginia, she's determined to build a life one unexpected discovery at a time, convinced that the best stories are never the ones you plan. August Calloway has built a life that already feels complete. A beloved high school English teacher, advisor to the literary magazine, and firm believer that stories matter because people matter, he's content with quiet mornings, overflowing bookshelves, meaningful conversations, and the students who remind him every day why he became a teacher. Nearly a year after the end of a six-year relationship, love is the last thing on his mind. Then one ordinary trip to a used bookstore changes everything. One book. Two strangers. The same moment. What begins as an accidental meeting among dusty shelves slowly unfolds into something neither of them was searching for, proving that sometimes the most important journeys don't begin with a destination. They begin with a single, unexpected page.

In 2023, Tom moves into a small flat in Bethnal Green and finds something wedged beneath a loose floorboard - a rental agreement signed forty years earlier by a woman named Sarah Harper. Then he finds her note. And then another. Across decades, through scraps of paper and the quiet of an old wooden floor, two lonely people begin to speak to each other. Sarah in 1983. Tom in 2023. Both convinced they are invisible. Both certain no one will ever really see them. But the notes they leave behind say otherwise. A story about time, tenderness, and the unexpected ways we are found.

These are just some short fun stories for a 2-5 mins swoon and experience a whirlwind of emotions!! Although I'd like to tell you that this is my first time writing something so please go easy on me and help me with corrective reviews. I'm addicted to reading Rom-coms and Dark Romance novels and hence decide to give one short to writing myself... If things go well, maybe one day I can write my own whole novel!! (At least a gurll can dream 😍)

LOW BATTERY is a quiet, sleepless story about the moments where love, exhaustion, and responsibility collide. At 4:47 a.m., Morgan stands in a dark hallway holding a single AA battery, forced to choose between waking a fragile child or trusting the silence. As texts go unanswered and the night stretches thin, the story traces how modern parenthood turns ordinary objects-monitors, mugs, batteries-into moral weight. This is not a story about catastrophe, but about the fear of it, and the way people carry on anyway when no option feels safe, and the smallest decisions feel impossibly heavy.

When James survives a brutal skirmish, he gathers the belongings of his fallen friend Tommy - and finds a photograph tucked inside a battered notebook. A young woman by a garden gate. Nell. Smiling as though she already knows him. The image stays with him long after the guns fall silent. / He writes to her to deliver the news gently, enclosing Tommy's unfinished letter. Nell's reply is quiet, graceful, threaded with a grief she carries without complaint. One letter becomes two. Then ten. Through mud and snow, through rationing and fear, they build a fragile connection out of words neither expected to need. She tells him about her garden and her schoolchildren. He tells her the truths he's never spoken aloud. They fall in love by inches, not declarations. When the war ends, Nell asks him, "Will you write to me from peace?" But James hesitates. He fears he is only the shadow who held the picture, not the man she has come to love. Weeks pass in silence. Then Nell receives a final letter with no return address, only a single line: I still carry the picture. I'd like to see the real thing. He boards the train. A tender, epistolary wartime romance about two strangers who find each other in the spaces between loss, longing, and hope.

You can get caught in small moments, whether they are yours or ones you have observed from outside of the frame. Small moments that can last eternities, or big moments that can pass too quickly. They can mesmerize, confuse, irritate, and warm us. From the eyes, through the mind, and felt by the heart, here are descriptions and criticisms of stupid little things. A.k.a. cheese

Welcome to the blog It's my first ever blog so little nervous but yes finally I wrote it . so, presenting to you a 1st blog from Tales of little girl by Radha Khandelwal . Whenever I think of the little girl I was the first think striking my mind is the one who gave me this name Mrs.Iyer She was the first teacher i remember so far she was really strict and as I was short she used to call me little girl. Okay so now remember the small parts of that short girl (Filled with sunshine and laughter ) Hell notorious!!!! She was a chota packet bada dhamaka Full masti ka package Ab apni kya tarif karu ,what a beauty! A character who needs full time attention with lots of play time. I still remember I used to get extra play time as a rishwat Like Radha if you finish your homework then only you can go to play Ab rishwat Dene wale ko kon bataye jise app rishwat de rahe ho vo kya cheeze hai as I told what a beauty 😉 But whenever I remember those days I always have that satisfaction ke vo din bhi kya din the . I do remember I use to say tension lene ka nahi only Dene ka 😅 When you are in that part of life things are really different ya may be are perspective, the way of seeing things change. The imagination, the Enthusiasm, the curiosity, the resilience they are all at a really different level And I believe these are things that made my childhood real special and memorable . No doubt the Imagination is still on peak And that's the only reason to remember that little girl even today and in future as well . Their are so many small and big things that we need to learn from our own little (young)self . Hope one day Iyer ma'am finds the same little girl again 😊

Every family has its season of mending. After fifty years of marriage, Margaret and Bill Whitaker invite their six grown children home to Boston for Christmas - but what's meant to be a joyful reunion turns into something none of them expected. For the first time in years, the whole family gathers under one roof: Daniel, the stoic; Annie, the peacemaker; Michael, the fixer; Eliza, the perfectionist; Ben, the dreamer; and Sophie, the optimist. Between tangled lights, burnt cookies, and decades of unspoken hurt, old rivalries spark - and so does the truth.

After a night of wild weather, two neighbours wake to find their fences down, their roofs battered, and their insurance companies determined to make them share the inconvenience. She's practical, tired, and quietly furious. He's polite, awkward, and just as stranded. Between them lies a garden that somehow escaped the storm - calm, untouched, and far too interested in their business. As the repairs drag on, the garden begins to behave oddly: blossoms blooming out of season, petals falling with deliberate timing, a scent that seems to follow them both. It isn't magic, exactly. But it isn't ordinary either. A story of quiet connection, neighbourly kindness, and the small, uncanny places that bring us back to ourselves.

Some feelings don't need words. They just stay-quietly, stubbornly, like a song you can't stop playing in your head. Pauline is the kind of girl who walks like she owns the world but struggles to hold eye contact. She's part of a tight-knit group of six friends, each messy and beautiful in their own way. Between late-night talks, chaotic parties, and secret smiles, Pauline and Noor share something unspoken-something that lingers. In a world where friendship means everything, and the future feels uncertain, sometimes just showing up is the bravest thing you can do. This is a story about friendship, quiet confessions, and the moments that stay with you long after the music fades.
