PS: I wrote this when I was younger so please don't judge my writing skills because of it. PPS: This is like a long prologue, but it was too long to make into just one prologue.

The wooden floorboards creak underneath my footsteps as I walk down the abandoned hallway, my flashlight swinging back and forth in front of me. The cold air from the hallway seeps through my already wet cold clothes, making me shiver. I'm almost at the end of the hallway when I see a door on my left. I stop and stand in front of it. I place my hand on the doorknob and twist it open. I let my eyes adjust to the darkness, finally I see what's in the room. A scream of terror erupts from my throat. My body freezes itself as I stare at the hanged corpse of one of my friends.--------------------Think about this: What do you think will happen when 100 passengers crash land on an abandoned island and only 8 survive. And what they don't know is that the island has its own secrets....secrets that can kill.

A girl that has wolf ears and tail is wandering the forest, in the middle of the night (although technically it's her home). She lives in a wolf pack, their species being Werwood. Werwoods can be a half human, half wolf or a ravenous creature. Meanwhile, a boy that also wandered the forest at the time, had on a mask. He lived in a tribe called, Kaze, where everyone wore a mask to hide their identity. The Werwood and the Kaze Tribe never get along. Always fighting against each other. A spin off from The Outsiders but with Dallas Winston's point of view, including how he got to Tulsa and going into his backstory and showing his true feelings instead of masking them behind a tough teenage boy. This book also shows that he is a lot more emotional than people think and that life can be harder than what it looks like on the outside. This would be a great novel to read if you are a big fan of The Outsiders or teen fiction in general (disclaimer: This book might be harder to understand/follow if you have not read the original book, The Outsiders by S.E Hinton)
