Everyone in Hawkins thinks Jamie Henderson is dating Eddie Munson. They're wrong. Jamie and Eddie have always been inseparable - best friends, partners in sarcasm, and the only two people in town who never cared what anyone else thought. So when rumors start spreading, neither of them bothers correcting anyone. It's easier that way. Until Steve Harrington starts noticing her. At first, she's just Dustin's sharp-tongued older sister. The girl who's always around, always laughing with Eddie, always somehow in the middle of everything. But as strange events begin creeping back into Hawkins, Steve starts seeing something no one else seems to notice - Jamie is the one holding everyone together when things start falling apart. And the more time he spends around her, the harder it becomes to ignore the quiet jealousy he can't quite explain. With friendships tested, danger rising, and Hawkins once again refusing to stay normal, Jamie finds herself caught between rumors, loyalty, and feelings she never expected to question. Because sometimes the person everyone assumes you belong with isn't the one who's been watching you all along.

First story I've ever written please let me know your thoughts and ideas, I'd love to hear them, and any ideas I use will be credited to the person who helped **TW and just general warning - suicide - grief and family loss - mentions of self-harm (only lightly) - mentions of eating disorders - brief mention of Sexual Assult - occational foul language (swearing) **None of these will be in much detail and I will post at the beginning of the chapter what triggers are in that chapter and which sections to miss, followed by a brief summary at the end for those who opted to skip but don't want to miss the story **blurb Ellie Miller is 16 years old. her brother died 2 years ago in her village to suicide; everyone has moved on, and she's learning to adjust and move forward with her life to become a psychologist. that is until another tradegy strikes, and this time, there may be another story. Will the truth come out alive and better yet, will she? **extract Slowly and auscultating. I trepidatiously creeped through the woods, getting deeper to find him; it seemed the more I called the more isolated I was. The trees seemed to howl and viciously danced above me as I looked up. In my near vision, a black sheet whips past me, startling me to the side. Nothing. Again, it strikes like lightning behind me, but this time, it hits me in the back, winding me and throwing me forward. I sit up and feel my head hurt and my chest is collapsing in on itself; panic sets in my veins and makes a home like a feeling I don't think will ever leave even if I survive. If. This could be the end. This is the end, here, next to the death place of my brother - full circle - like I deserve.
