Smart is a cynical defense attorney who lives by the book. Boom is a wealthy, chaotic restaurant owner with a knack for attracting disaster. They were never supposed to meet. But when Boom accidentally buys a vintage luxury car at an auction-only to find the trunk packed with smuggled contraband-he panics and crashes straight into Smart's office in the dead of night. Before Smart can kick him out, a dangerous (but hilariously incompetent) cartel mistakes Smart for the mastermind and locks them in a chase across the city. On the run with nothing but shared handcuffs and a trunk full of evidence, Smart is fighting to keep them alive using his legal brain, while Boom treats the life-or-death situation like an aggressive romantic bonding experience.
