Westbridge University wasn't built for girls like me.
Its halls were too polished, its chandeliers too crystal-clear, its students too carefully curated from old money and older legacies. Everyone here carried a last name that could open doors, bend rules, and rewrite consequences.
Except me.
I carried a scholarship, stitched pride, and a thousand reasons why I couldn't afford to fail.
And then there was Abheer Malhotra-
The crown prince of Westbridge.
Heir to an empire, heart made of stone, and eyes like winter-cold, unreadable, and sharp enough to cut.
He didn't talk much.
Didn't need to.
One glance from him was enough to silence a room.
I should've stayed away. Should've just ignored him like I ignored every other ego with a trust fund and too much cologne.
But no.
He noticed me.
And worse?
He hated me.
It started with a comment in class-condescending, precise.
Then came the smirks, the subtle sabotages, the storm he carried with every encounter.
But hate is a funny thing.
It simmers, it snaps, it circles back.
Until it's so close to passion, you can't tell which is which.
Until the line between enemies and something else entirely starts to blur.
This was never supposed to be a love story.
But now I think... maybe it was always meant to be one.
One set on fire.
One built in broken pieces.
One we never saw coming.
