A Bucky Barnes and OC fanfic taking place during and after The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Since Steve Rogers went back in time to be with the love of his life that also opens up the possibility of descendants of Steve and Peggy. As Captain Americas granddaughter, Lacey Allen, is trying to find her own path she ends up crossing paths with her grandfathers old friends. Lacey Allen is a 25 year old tech and analytics specialist working on helping her cousin Sharon Carter get back to the US with a pardon and continue her work. Like her cousin, Lacey is trained in combat and weapons. She also has her own suit with its own unique features. Since she is also Steve Rogers granddaughter she also unknowingly has the DNA from the super soldier making her senses heightened and a little faster and stronger than normal but not as intense as Captain America. Six months after inheriting the responsibility of Captain America from Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson decides to decline the shield and places it in the Smithsonian museum to join the dedicated Captain America display. While in the early stages of investigating a new wave of freedom fighters, the Flag Smashers, it seems the title of Captain America, along with the vibranium shield has been bestowed to John Walker, a highly decorated soldier for the US Army, by the Government. This news is enough to bring Bucky Barnes out of his apartment and do more than just attend his mandated therapy sessions, leading to Sam and Bucky joining forces. On this particular encounter with the Flag Smashers, John Walker and his partner Lemar Hoskins attempt to assist Sam and Bucky. All four of them find themselves in a quaint English village where an unknown person joins the conversation. ----------- I, of course, do not claim to own the Marvel characters. This fiction takes place instead of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series 1 [if you haven't watched it - I highly recommend, although if you're here I'm assuming that means you have already watched it]. I may not do the original story line justice, but I'm really only writing this to develop my own character and using it as an exercise to process bereavement.
