Elodie "Elle" Wicklow is an angel. She's been sent to earth to recover a young teenage girl, who may or may not possess the rare ability to see into the Other World. Emery "Robyn" Frasier is that girl. And she can see things that others can't, not that she understands why. All she knows is that she's different from the rest of her classmates, and if she had her way, she would leave it all behind. That is, until she meets her first angel. Together, she and Elle form an unlikely friendship, eventually coming to the terrifying conclusion that what Elle's superiors need her for, isn't at all the innocent research she was once assured of.
