However, one night after walking home late from work, he finds himself caught up within a robbery of a bank - and when the police arrive and a shootout breaks out, he is caught in the crossfire - a bullet piercing his heart. Right there on the street, as he bleeds out, he thinks back on his life and those that he cared about, and as the last bit of life leaves him, he makes a dying wish that should miracles exist - for him to not be reborn. Unfortunately for him, fate has different plans and he is reborn into a different world - where magic and monsters are not an uncommon sight. And of course, most importantly of all, he is not reborn as a human or any humanoid creatures - but in fact... a Snake.
