Severus is hated by basically everybody. His home life is no better than his school life. He's abused and bullied. And the only thing that brings him out of the harsh reality is Lily and books. One day James is bored, walking around with none of his friends. He was the only one with a free period from the marauders so he decided to wander around. Then he found Severus curled up under a tree reading an old book. What will he do? Say something? Hurt him? Or just stand there hoping not the be noticed by the Slytherin? Lily is the only one that dies during Voldemort's rampage through the Potter house. Harry is completely unscathed, save for a scar on his forehead, and James is on the brink of death. When he heals a bit, both he and Severus unexpectedly bond over the loss of someone so dear to them.

At the age of 16, the given witch or wizard will go through a creature inheritance (if that person has creature blood in their family line). Severus Snape goes through an early (and very painful) creature inheritance, and has trouble finding his mate, or rather, coming to terms with who his mate is. James Potter is having the same trouble with his inheritance.

James and Severus hate each other... or so they think. what will happen when someone magically handcuffs them. the only way to get free is to stop hating each other. will they ever get free? who did it?

Severus always wondered why he would spend hours look and flawing every good and bad things about, not just Potter, but even Black and Lupin. He sometimes thought so he could use it as blackmail.
