Surrounded by friendship, rivalry, ancient family loyalties, and the lingering shadow of the Dark Lord, Persephone must choose whether to embrace the legacy she inherited-or write a new one for herself. *After some confusion, I wanted to officially clear up the timeline of this fanfiction, and the ages of some of the characters. This story takes place alongside the original Harry Potter timeline where Harry begins at Hogwarts during the 1991 school year. Draco and Harry are in their second year at Hogwarts and are 12, going on 13 by the end of this story. Persephone is beginning her first year at Hogwarts, but is also 12, going on 13 due to Dumbledore holding her back a year. Separately, the Marauder's timeline is slightly different as I wanted to make Snape and Lucius closer in age, and Lucius and Narcissa farther in age. For this story, Snape, Lily, James, Sirius, and Narcissa are in the same year, being born in 1958. Lucius is three years older than Narcissa and Snape being born in 1955. Finally, Bellatrix is two years older than Lucius, being born in 1953. The only changes this makes is that Bellatrix and Lucius are a tad younger, and the marauders + Snape are a tad older.
