As Darth Castra sulked in the grimy cell, she could feel her sensitive, cracked lekku against the durasteel floor. It felt familiar and took her back to another lifetime where she had been safe, loved, and happy. She hated it. The moment her loyalty had been questioned she was shipped off for a military trial. Shipped off to her death. The sour taste in her mouth grew as she thought what a mindless slave she had been. Now, now things were different. She would no longer be a slave to anyone. And they weren't going to force her to. She heard footsteps coming and she brought herself out of her musings. As the door slid open with a pop, there stood the only two people she still cared about. The only two things she allowed herself to attach to regarding her former life. As she began to speak, the words that came out were spoken with a familiar ease, but were rooted in spite and betrayal. "Hello Master, Rexter, it's been a while."

What is a platonic soulmate? A platonic soulmate is someone you love, madly, the instant you meet, a love beyond understanding. It is described as a love that goes beyond the personal self: a mysterious recognition of what is good, beautiful, and true. From the day they met until the day that they were no more, the best example that comes to mind is the bond between that of Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. The bond that the two shared is something to be admired- something to be explored. The little moments are the moments that matter, the moments that we never saw, the moments that only strengthened this bond and the moments that made their downfall all the more heart breaking.

The story takes a different turn to what happened in SWR, hence the title. Ahsoka is left angry and dejected as she comes to terms with the monster Anakin has become. How had the person she once shared a deep connection and love for, fallen so far? How was this ruthless, cruel man who stood before her once her Master, Skyguy?
