Originally written and posted on Fanfiction.net in June 2016, this is the continuing story of The Force Awakens. The Second Galactic War has begun. The First Order and the remnants of the Resistance race to find allies to their cause. This leads both to the familiar planet of Kamino. Instead of destroying Luke's Jedi Temple, Ben Solo chooses to run away under the alias Kylo Ren. He can't trust his family and he fears the Dark Side too much to turn to Snoke. He runs as far as he can until The Force leads him to Jakku. There he meets a tough hopeful scavenger named Rey. Trusting The Force, he and Rey strike up a friendship and learn from each other. They have a nice routine as a scoundrel and a scavenger until a BB Unit rolls into their lives. Set years before and during The Force Awakens.

But soon, Hux's jealousy and Kylo's criminal ways begin to catch up with him. There is a plot by the evil drug kingpin, Snoke, to kill Rey before she spills all she knows about him and his operation. Kylo must straighten his life out and find a way to save Rey before it is too late, and the only girl he ever loved slips through his fingers.

Luke Skywalker, Ben Solo's uncle attempts to kill his nephew when he sees a vision of him turning to the dark side, only to realise the weight of the crime and stops right before killing him, instead of Ben Solo turning to the dark side after this incident he flees the Jedi temple and travels to the outer rim and other planets in search for a force-sensitive girl he had sensed.
