Post Canon Alternate Universe - Where Coriolanus Snow makes DIFFERENT choices...and those choices lead to a different future in Panem. Starts at the point in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes where Lucy Grey asks Coriolanus, "Who's the third?" - and he tells the truth. I wanted to explore the question that if Coriolanus Snow could change, what would that look like? In TBOSAS, he's always struggling morally with himself on what's "good/kind/selfless" or "ambitious/reputation/power". So I started a story about it. Very heavy focus on the psychological aspects of who he was in the Capitol, his internal struggles within himself, and how Lucy Gray Baird softens a hard-grown Capitol Boy. P.S. It's slow-burn, but the story really starts picking up in action around Ch. 11-12 after we've established our character & relationship developing. Some AU Details: The Covey are joining Lucy Gray and Coriolanus in their flight into the wilderness. I think it just works better if I have more interactions to work with. Hope you all agree! Livia Cardew is the perfect fit. While he attempts to distract himself from his moments in district 12, he struggles to deal with the idea of Lucy Gray being alone wandering through the woods holding his deepest secrets, or even worse... being dead from a gun he shot at her. *I've attempted to make this as realistic as possible to what most likely happens as Snow rises to power*

Maude Ivory and Galvin are going through a slippery slope after ten years and a horrible secret. Avita and Clerk Carmine are happily married and childfree, as they had intended to be though, not for long. Tam Amber is coming back home after a sabbatical in the districts to "find himself". Coriolanus Snow has always had severe paranoia and it's cost him a lot. Lucy Gray Baird is the love of his life and he was already lost to her as soon as he saw her selected in the reaping.
