I always feel that the snow is taunting when it falls, deciding whether it will cover the world in a white blanket or just fade away like it never existed. A small poem written whilst listening to a song my friend composed called First Snow in Montreal First work of my own on wattpad so if you like it give that vote button a little love!

Art and Characters from this story is not mine. Winter and all of the rest are from Wings of fire. Some of the other characters are mine such as Firecaster. Update: Cover changed to something that was actually my art. What if Winter did meet his love, but wasn't Moonwatcher. Firecaster is a Sandwing half Skywing. She never got to meet her parents, they abandoned her (or did they😏😏😏) when she was in her egg and she was raised by the Talons of Peace. The new leader, Riptide, keeps a close eye on her because he feels the needed to protect her and she was like a fire, if I gets to cold she'll die. After their best friends were killed in a car accident, Joshua and Marcie Benton adopted their nine year old son Eric. All he wanted was one quiet Christmas. One Night alone. One moment to breathe. But a careless wish muttered into the cold pulls someone unexpected into his life: Her. This winter, the wish he never meant to make might be the one thing that saves him. What he doesn't know is that she felt the wish. Not in words but in a strange pull that led her straight to him, like something in the air was calling her name through the snowfall. She doesn't know why she cares. She doesn't know why he looks at her like he's afraid she'll disappear. She doesn't know why the winter seems to shift around him, colder when he hurts, softer when he smiles. Winter and Lynx are two IceWing dragonets who have been friends and rivals since they were young. They both attended Jade Mountain Academy, where they met and befriended dragons from other tribes. Winter developed feelings for Lynx, but he was afraid to tell her. Lynx also had feelings for Winter, but she was afraid to lose him. When they returned to the Ice Kingdom, they faced the pressure of Queen Snowfall, who wanted Winter to choose a mate from the high-ranking IceWings. Winter decided to follow his heart and confess his love to Lynx, who reciprocated. Snowfall was furious and attacked them, but Lynx fought back and defeated her. Winter and Lynx declared themselves mates and celebrated their victory with their friends.

Many years ago, Lizens, a raptor-like race that developed a human-like intelligence, and Humans lived peacefully. Then the Lizens started a war against humans, known as the Great Lizen War. The humans won and the Lizens became a slave race to them, killing off feather manes and using sorcerers to kill their own kind. It has been said that all feather manes have gone extinct and all sorcerers were brainwashed into killing their own kind, but it was not true. Roscuroe, a feather maned illusionist, lived alone near Taylor, BC, in the burrow that his parents dug out for him before they were captured. Roscuroe never knew his parents, but he had a friend, Hannah, a pink winged mega-tooth Lizen with long flowing light pink hair. He has always had a feeling for a while that he wasn't the last feather mane, and he journeys to find more of his kind and ends up leading an army for the next Great Lizen War. Notice: The only characters I own are Roscuroe, Hannah, Harley, Celia, and the villain.

The winter air was cold; our own breaths puffed out in smoke to mix with it. His eyes were a contradiction to the air surrounding us, warm and inviting.
