In a distant future, humanity is deeply reliant on auditory implants that enhance hearing and data intake. Over centuries, these devices have become essential, integrated surgically into nearly everyone. Vast urbanization has reshaped the planet-cities sprawl across the sky, linked by advanced tram systems, while nature has been heavily restricted. What remains of the natural world is confined to government-regulated parks, accessible only with special permits.
To capitalize on public interest and generate revenue, the government created the Garden Games. Originally a passive nature-viewing experience, the Games have evolved into a competitive spectacle where randomly selected citizens are placed in preserved natural environments for a set time. What began as entertainment is now a political and cultural phenomenon.
The Games serve as a battleground for opposing ideologies-environmental preservation versus technological progress-while also offering participants a chance at fame, political influence, personal growth, or escape from the rigid, tech-dominated world. Over time, the Garden Games have become more than a televised event; they are a reflection of society's fractured relationship with nature, control, and identity.
Each game is unique in its challenges, but one rule remains constant: once the doors close, no one leaves until six months have passed-or they're dead.
