Sock is a demon who has the job of bugging people until they kill themselves or 'punch their own ticket.' This is the perfect job for a teenaged boy who killed his parents and then himself before being sent to hell, where he was assigned the job. But Sock sees something about Johnathan. He's unlike any human Sock had ever met while he was alive! Is Sock falling for someone he's supposed to get to kill themselves!? Will Sock ever win!?

It's been a couple weeks and sock starts stressing out. "Why won't he notice me?!" Sock repeats to himself. There is no deadline. Maybe sock wants to be more than friends but is too embarrassed to say so. It's been a month. Johnathan is still alive. Sock has now been given an offer. Sock must chose between Living again or being trapped for eternity in hell until he makes Johnathan punch his own ticket. What will he chose?

This is about their sweet, wholesome, but genuinely fucked up relationship. Sock and Jonathan realize how they feel after Sock meets jon's dad, discovering juat how bad home life is.

Loosely based on Carrie Underwood's song, Just A Dream, most of the story is flashbacks that eventually lead up to what is happening in the present. Jonathan Combs enlists in the military and is being deployed to Afghanistan tomorrow while his boyfriend, Napoleon "Sock" Sowachowski, is worried about his safety. The story takes place four years after this with Sock getting ready to go to church.

Sock finds something he shouldn't have, and asks Jonathan about it.

Sock was terrified, which was saying something for a person who liked to kill things. Jonathan was not who he once was. No matter what, any sanity left was long gone. There was no more Jonathan. Only torture, and only fear.
